 Whether
it is a competition, booster event, or a casual gathering of Friends,
Cal Aquatics provides students, alumni, and friends with highly
enjoyable occasions to come together, to forge stronger bonds,
and to remind themselves of all that makes our University an invaluable
and unique asset to our world. The result is a more cohesive Cal
community with greater spirit and a firmer commitment to enhancing
the University's future.
Below is a link to a downloadable Friends of Cal Aquatics event schedule, which lists the combined Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving and Water Polo team schedules with all of the "Friends" events we have planned this year as well.
Please make your plans to support the Bears by attending one of their home aquatics contests or a "Friends" special event this season!

Friends of Cal Aquatics Sponsored Events
Come Join us at the Aquatics Gala and Homecoming Weekend
September 10th & 11th, 2010
The Cal Aquatics family welcomes all alums, parents and fans to campus for the September 10th and 11th weekend. Cal plays Colorado in football on Saturday, September 11th—no men’s water polo game that weekend.
Here’s the schedule of events:
- Friday, September 10th, 6pm-midnight: Aquatics Gala—Splash! Cocktails, dinner, silent auction, dancing in a tent on Maxwell Field. Cocktail attire (blue and gold encouraged!). Please come!
- Saturday, September 11th, 9am: Aquatics Tailgate at Hearst Field (next to Hearst Gym). Bring the whole family! Food, drink and fun.
- Saturday, September 11th, noon: interested alums and their families will be offered pre-game field passes. Come see what it’s like on the field at Memorial Staduim!
- Saturday, September 11th, 12:30pm: Cal vs. Colorado. Sit in a special, reserved Aquatics section by ordering your tickets like this: go to www.calbears.com/code. The code is AQUATICS, in capitals. From there you put in the number of tickets you want, pay, and you’re set! This block of tickets will be held until August 31st, so don’t delay ordering!
- Saturday, September 11th, during game, time TBA: All Aquatics alums are invited to meet and go on field (probably during a timeout) for introduction to and recognition from the crowd for our teams’ accomplishments.
Invitations are being mailed in the first week in August. If you do not receive an invitation, please email Alicia Rowell (arowell@berkeley.edu) , and we will send you one.
If you want to purchase tickets to the Gala or tailgate over the phone, or if you have any questions, please call Alicia at 510/643-2746. Also we have discounted hotel rooms at the Hotel Durant available by calling 510/845-8981 and saying you’re with UC Aquatics group.
Please come to our first-ever Aquatics Homecoming Weekend…and plan to have a great time!
